Board Roles and Responsibilities
The board is responsible for approving, overseeing, reviewing and assessing the implementation and effectiveness of the Credit Union's
- Corporate governance framework;
- Corporate mission, principles and values;
- Code of conduct and market code;
- Strategic objectives and business strategy;
- Control environment, including risk strategy, enterprise risk management framework, and risk appetite and risk tolerance levels;
- Corporate policies for risk, risk management and compliance;
- Internal controls system; and
- Compensation system.
Board members are expected to be and remain qualified, including any training for their positions.
Being a board member includes attending a monthly board meeting plus additional meetings for any sub committees.
The credit union will pay related tuition costs, expenses and remuneration for training and development opportunities.
